The Plot:

Ex-Special Forces member Michael Atwood leads a crew of corrupt police officers and former soldiers in a daring bank robbery that ends in a frenzied freeway shootout. As Detective Sergeant Jeffrey Allen investigates the spectacular crime, he is unaware that his own nephew, straight-arrow cop Chris Allen, has unknowingly been partnered with one of the robbers on Atlanta’s gang task force.

When ruthless Russian-Israeli mob boss Irina Vlasov, strong-arms the crew into attempting one last, seemingly impossible robbery, they decide their best hope is to divert the entire police force’s attention by staging a “999” incident — cop code for “officer down.”

The Verdict:

This movie is full of twists and turns. It's a movie that requires a lot of thinking to be able to piece things together.

From the beginning of the movie you already get a sense that whatever is about to happen isn't the first time. Which starts to raise questions about the story as the movie progresses.

- Why is Michael doing all these jobs for Irina?

- Is there more to the story then just dirty cops working for the Russian-Israeli mob?

Such important plot points like these do get lost in amongst the robberies and killings.

The story mostly centers around Michael Atwood, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and his need to complete criminal acts to be able to get his son back from his ex and her sister, which just happens to be Irina, Kate Winslet, who does a spectacular roles of portraying a Russian woman of power.

After Michael pulls off his latest bank heist Sergeant Jeffery Allen, Woody Harrelson, is put on the case to investigate and bring those responsible to justice.

Jeffery's nephew, Chris Allen, Casey Affleck, gets assigned to be partner's with one of the gang members. All Chris wants to do is "make a difference" in the world of crime but by doing so he will put his life and the job on the line.

Michael and his gang's "one last job", seems impossible, but the job's not without collateral damage of the gang, a confrontation with Irina and the mob and a case breakthrough by Jeffery and Chris that will put the gang in the firing line.
