The Jungle Book
Raised by a family of wolves since birth, Mowgli must leave the only home he's ever known when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan unleashes his mighty roar. Guided by a stern panther and a free-spirited bear, the young boy meets an array of jungle animals, including a slithery python and a smooth-talking ape. Along the way, Mowgli learns valuable life lessons as his epic journey of self-discovery leads to fun and adventure.
A story almost as old as time has come alive in an amazing 3D live action movie, The Jungle Book.
If your an adult kid who loves and remembers the original 1967 animated musical comedy, your going to love this live action version. Although the movie is missing many of the toe tapping musical numbers and a few changes have been made to the story, this movie is still a spectacular story for the young and old.
As a lover of Disney and the original movie, I really looked forward to this movie and how they were going to create it as a live action movie. Will the story be the same? Will the CGI animals let the movie down? Who would they get to play the part of Mowgli?
Introducing 12 year old Neel Sethi, chosen to play Mowgeli, the man cub. For his first motion picture Sethi pulls it off relatively well. But some of his inexperience does shine through within the movie.
The CGI animals are amazing, so lifelike in every way. From the way their bodies move to the texture of the hair, feathers or fur. The only let down were the truely out of size
proportion of Kaa, The Snake and King Louie The Ape.
The times and technology have changed but the morals hold true. Family always protect each other and acceptance of all, no matter their differences and past mistakes.
This movie is the bear necessities for kids and kids at heart.
