The Verdict:

This movie is based in 1942 during WWII, in Morocco. This is where the main characters Max Vatan, a Canadian Intelligence Officer and Marianne Beausejour, Resistance Fighter first meet. They play the part of a married couple who are both assigned to kill the German Ambassador to France at a Gala dinner. Once they have escaped Morocco, after completing the job, they move to London together and get married.

Many have compared the movie to Mr & Mrs Smith but in a different era. But I don't seem to see it. The plot really makes you think. The movie starts to slow after the first 20 mins, but if you're like me, you will enjoy the twists and turns of the story.

In the trailers, they make out that the movie is centred around Max’s wife, Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard), who is suspected of being a German spy. But is she? or is this all just a game to vet Max Vatan (Brad Pitt) for a high ranking job in the Army.

Even though this movie did have a few flaws in it, but the performance by both Brad and Marion is amazing. I really enjoyed it and recommend checking it out.
