The Verdict:

The movie starts 5 years earlier when Countney is in a car accident which plunged her car into a river. She escaped but sadly her sister was trapped inside the car and drowned.

Fast forward to the present day, Courtney is now a med student with a drive to explore the theories of the afterlife. With assistance from her friends, Mario, Ray, Jamie and Sophie, she tries the theory of flatlining. Flatlining means stopping the heart for 1-3 minutes before being revived, to see what happens after your heart stops and your brains continues to function.

I hadn’t seen much about this movie before seeing it, but I had heard about flatlining before. So the first half of the movie was very predictable but what I didn’t see coming was the made up storyline they had to create in order for it to be a full length feature film. From a storyline that was believable to a complete thriller, this movie will have you jumping and scared in parts.

When you flatline not only does your minds memory expand but something dangerous and sinister from your past will come back to hurt you. Each of the characters, except Ray, had a turn at flatlining and has to deal with their inner demons which could kill them if not dealt with.

Forgiveness is key to writing your wrongs.
